Recently, Clonlara and A2YP.TV have become community partners. A2YP.TV is focused on sharing what is happening in Washtenaw County with the world! Why that’s important to our community is that we are all part of Washtenaw County in one way or another – simply because our students go to school here. Plus we are consumers, residents, leaders, and members of both the Clonlara community and the Washtenaw community. This partnership will allow both of our small organizations to capitalize on advertising and promotions. It allows us to reach parts of the community that might not otherwise know we are here and reach them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It allows A2YP.TV to be introduced to a new group of possible viewers. Plus we have started to talk about internship opportunities for our high school students and collaborating on a weather program. When you get a chance, check out A2YP.TV on the web!

Community Partnerships are important! That statement has never been more true than in our world today. Recently, very recently, Clonlara Campus School and the Michigan Theater have formed a new presenting sponsor relationship for the “Not Just for Kids” series. What exactly does this mean? For Clonlara it means our logo and school name will appear in the Michigan Theater’s print advertising, website exposure, social media mentions, on-site brochure display and signage, radio mentions, and we will even get verbal recognition at some of their performances. Since the Michigan Theater has over 250,000 visitors a year, that means a lot of potential exposure for our school. Plus, the Michigan Theater will offer our learning community discounts and special offers. What it means for the Michigan Theater is we are willing to link them to our community and support their efforts to being books that our children love to life, with on-stage live performances. It’s a win-win situation and through this partnership, sharing of resources, and linking our communities both organizations are able to reach more people, strengthen our ties in the Ann Arbor community and build stronger bonds. With all that said, look for our sponsoring ads to begin in April 2010, and then start again as the Michigan Theater advertises for their upcoming “Not Just for Kids” series in the fall and throughout the entire 2010-2011 season.
During the fall of last year we asked current families to respond to a survey we posted. The aims of the survey were to assess your satisfaction and explore areas for growth. You can view the results of the survey here, the password is jewett. We took your feedback and began working on it. We've been working to add more structure to the program, expand our involvement in the community and improve commuications between parents and staff. Our communications answers comes in the form of our regular newsletter & the website expansion.
Our new website will also serve as a living document of the daily learning and growth that happens in our small close knit community. In the coming months we will add features like a Community Calendar, Polls, Discussion Board, Resources, Classroom Pages and a Gallery. The site has been redesigned from a community perspective, where students, parents and staff alike will be able to contribute to the site.
Thanks for your continued support.
Sincerely
The Staff at Clonlara Campus School.
